Safety Training Courses

General Safety Awareness.
This is a one-day session covering a range of subjects related to Health & Safety in the workplace. It will explain how the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 affects everyone at work, what it requires, and the consequences of failure to comply with it. Information is given on legislative requirements for such specific areas as Fire control, COSHH regulations, Work at Height regulations, RIDDOR and much more. It is an interactive and lively session that is invaluable for anyone in the work environment.
Confined Space Entry
Either a one, two or three-day session for operatives or supervisors respectively.
Day one covers the basic requirements for operatives under the regulations for work in spaces with the potential to become hazardous. It deals specifically with "Escape" breathing apparatus and the related emergency protocols.
Day two covers requirements for supervisors, or those who may expect to enter or work in spaces that are already known to be hazardous. It deals specifically with "working" breathing apparatus and the related working protocols.
Day three is designed for operators who need to assemble a rescue team to provide emergency cover at confined space sites, and includes use of breathing apparatus, extraction techniques and basic emergency aid.
Emergency First Aid at Work
Certificated by the CIEH, this one-day session trains candidates in the basics of maintaining life and managing a casualty. A fun and involving course with state of the art training models and techniques, it could just save the life of one of your team!
This HSE registered qualification is valid for 3 years with a recommendation for annual refresher sessions.
Working at Heights
This one-day session covers all aspects of current Working at Heights regulations, including ladder safety, fall arrest systems and much more. Falls from heights are still the biggest killer each year in the Construction Industry, so this course is a must for anyone exposed to the risk of a fall at work.
Abrasive Wheels
Whether bench-mounted or hand-held, petrol-driven or electrically powered, these machines have enormous potential for harm, so specific training in their use is vital.
We will help you identify and mount the correct wheels and employ safe techniques in their use.
Venues
These safety course are conducted either at one of our training centres, at your own site (as in the case of WAH) or at another suitable venue.
